Mairie du 10e x Mathias Bensimon

Project background
An immersive performance of dance, song, painting and music

As part of the "Nouveau(x) regard( s)" exhibition organized in collaboration with the Mairie du 10e arrondissement de Paris, artist Mathias Bensimon and the Altaïr collective conceived a monumental, immersive performance in the heart of this public institution to bring the two-month exhibition to a close. Bringing together several hundred spectators for a unique evening, they offered a synesthetic experience based on Mathias Bensimon's pictorial work and his relationship with matter and light.

Using oil paint and the fresco technique, Mathias Bensimon has for many years been developing a reflection on the movement of light waves and the multiple perceptions we can experience.

With Lefranc Bourgeois, the artist's partner, we are convinced that contemporary art can be a bridge to inspire, vibrate, create and look at the world differently.
