Paris Saint-Germain is one of the most popular soccer clubs in the world, with a digital audience of hundreds of millions of people. Its "Carte Blanche" initiative is one of its most unique features: for several seasons now, the club has been inviting photographers to take an artistic look at its teams, facilities, and moments in the club’s daily life. This is not sports journalism, but a true artistic commission, on par with what is done at other major cultural institutions.
It was in this context that PSG enlisted Studio Artera to identify and support the artist for this new edition.
To mark the teams’ move from Camp des Loges to the new facility in Poissy, Paris Saint-Germain asked Studio Artera to select the photographer for this edition of Carte Blanche. Our choice: Adeline Care.
Adeline Care spent several days with the women’s Under-19 team. Her work focused on what traditional reporting often overlooks: individual portraits that blend strength and gentleness, the moments between drills when solidarity becomes evident, and the sisterhood that binds these players together beyond their performances. It’s a way of showing that athletic excellence has a human, multifaceted, and often unexpected side.
The series was published on PSG’s official website and shared across the club’s social media channels, which are among the most engaged sports accounts in the world. In total, the campaign generated over 15 million impressions through the club’s stories, posts, and official mentions.
