Mairie du 10e x Caroline Derveaux

Project background
A public art project in the heart of a town hall

As part of a collaboration with the Mairie du 10e arrondissement de Paris, artist Caroline Derveaux, a pioneering figure in urban art, designed an original vitrophanie in the lobby and reception area.

Vitrophanie is a technique involving the application of a digital artistic creation to glass using an adhesive film. It's ideal for large glass surfaces, providing a lasting effect for the customer and no risk to the surface.

An ode to color and geometric shapes, Caroline Derveaux's universe takes a fresh look at our cities, creating new forms of cohesion between residents and bringing people together around an aesthetic accessible to all, with a humanist approach. His frescoes are a surprise, a chance to (re)discover the city through fresh eyes. The banal, the hidden, is sublimated.

‍"My contribution in the public space is an invitation to dialogue. For me, art is essential everywhere, all the time, where we don't expect it." Caroline Derveaux

Other works and installations by Caroline Derveaux can be seen at the Paris 10th arrondissement town hall as part of the "Nouveau(x) regard(s)" exhibition, alongside those by Mathias Bensimon and Itchi , until March 31, 2023.
