Stéphane Parain

A prodigy with a mallet and chisel, Stéphane Parain, after studying at the Ateliers des Beaux-Arts in Paris, won the prestigious title of Best Craftsman of France in the sculpture category. Following this achievement, he joined the teams of Monuments Historiques to work on large-scale projects before moving to the workshops of the Paris Opera to design monumental pieces for the most renowned operas and ballets. 

In parallel, Stéphane Parain has led several personal projects, exploring urban art and making a significant impact on the city's cultural landscape through notable exhibitions. Among these projects, the spectacular "Update" created with artist Rero stands out: the four reworked busts of Antoine Coypel, painter of kings, in a monumental format displayed in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the heart of Paris. 

Stéphane Parain's aesthetic draws inspiration from the richness of classical sculpture, evoking the French Grand Siècle while incorporating bold contemporary elements. His works, characterized by an exploration of temporality, the organic, and the structural, aim to materialize the invisible and question the notion of reality. Stéphane works with a variety of materials – wood, marble, metal, polystyrene – and masters all scales, from delicate small pieces to monumental sculptures several meters high.

An ancestral medium, sculpture continues to play a crucial role in exploring the limits of artistic expression and creativity. In the contemporary context, it offers a prime vector for collaborations between the artistic, commercial, and public spheres, as well as for enhancing the interiors of collectors.
