Béatrice Bissara questions man's vision of the world and his place in it through majestic works and installations in motion. Sensitive to different states of consciousness, Béatrice Bissara unveils creative, poetic and immersive processes that blur the boundaries between time, space, body and mind. Whether in sculpture, painting, kinetic devices, light or sound installations, she brings an authentic touch of reflection on who we really are, as well as on the different ways of traveling with the mind. Béatrice's works are a gateway to a different frame of reference for contemporary art, a doorway to a different way of seeing the world. A veritable alchemist of matter and light, she uses them to create works of art with soothing properties that encourage concentration, self-connection and creativity. Inspired by the "Anthropocenart" movement, Béatrice Bissara infuses her works with motifs, textures and colors that echo the ecosystems of our planet, modified by the current geological era.
According to art historian Paul Ardenne, this artistic movement, in reference to the Anthropocene (the current geological era, in which human activities tend to disrupt ecosystems), was born over fifty years ago, inspired by social and ecological movements as well as central figures such as American marine biologist and environmental activist Rachel Carson. Reconnecting with the living, animal and vegetable, ceasing to consider Man as a superior being and distancing ourselves from Western anthropocentrism, in order to situate ourselves in nature and not in front of it: this is what Béatrice Bissara suggests through her works, in order to draw the new contours of a long-hoped-for world. The artist is accompanied in her research by two CNRS researchers on the effects of art on different states of consciousness in individuals and the psychic benefits that can be obtained. In October 2022, she takes over the Château des Tourelles for the biggest solo show of her career.
Since 2005, the artist's bronze collections, paintings and installations have been exhibited in France and internationally in private collections and galleries. Every year since 2007, she has exhibited her work at numerous fairs on the American continent, including Scope Art - Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Art and Antique Show, Sofa New York, Park Avenue Armory - New York, Miami Art Show and Chicago SOFA Show.Objects of art and contemplation, psychic totems and fragments of consciousness, Béatrice Bissara's works fit perfectly into living spaces and are authentic meditative portals that evolve with the rhythm of the day for the home or office, guaranteeing an authentic bubble of serenity in everyday life. A true craftswoman, she is always on the lookout for new mediums to explore and perfect, with the aim of offering the public a wide variety of textures, colors and materials to highlight her favorite themes and create powerful, immersive universes that allow you, in a matter of seconds, to connect with reality.
